Signing of Memorandum of Understanding with Saudi Arabia’s National Water Company as a strategic partner for wastewater treatment systems

FujiClean Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chikusa-ku, Nagoya City, Japan, President: Masashi Goto) and Saudi Arabia’s National Water Company (hereinafter, NWC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to a strategic partnership for wastewater treatment systems. Through this partnership, we aim to utilize our wastewater treatment technology for sewage treatment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (hereinafter, Saudi Arabia) and local entities.
The MoU was signed on December 24, 2023, by Executive Vice President Engineer Mansour Abuthnain, representing NWC, and President Masashi Goto, representing FujiClean. At the signing ceremony, Engineer Mansour Abuthnain said, “The MoU is part of the company's efforts to localize wastewater treatment technologies and cooperate with all local and international entities to develop and improve the efficiency of the water industry.”
FujiClean’s wastewater treatment system technology is characterized by easy and inexpensive maintenance and management, a treatment capacity comparable to centralized sewage treatment plant systems. The decentralized approach allows it to be used in remote areas and scattered population centers. We aim to use this wastewater treatment system technology to create water for reuse in irrigation in Saudi Arabia, which is facing water shortages.
Signing of this MoU was made possible through our participation in a water business mission to Saudi Arabia organized by the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME).
FujiClean will continue to work with partners in Japan and overseas to develop products and technologies that contribute to society.
