FujiClean Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chikusa-ku, Nagoya City, Japan, President: Masashi Goto) was selected for the FY2023 “SDGs Business Supporting Survey for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises” conducted by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
This initiative is based on the results of the “SDGs Business Model Formulation Survey for the effective and sustainable development of sewer infrastructure by using decentralized wastewater treatment technology to achieve the new effluent standard in the Philippines” conducted in FY2022 by FujiClean in Baguio City, Philippines. It has been selected for dissemination and verification to follow up on the results of that study.
Through the business model formulation survey started in 2022, we learned that awareness of the wastewater treatment system was low and that recognition of our company was lacking. On the other hand, presentations and seminars during the survey confirmed the high level of interest in wastewater treatment systems as a method of water quality improvement measures in Baguio City, which is situated in a mountainous area and where developing sewerage culverts is not easy. Considering this situation, we plan to conduct activities to raise awareness of the system while demonstrating product performance in the dissemination and verification initiative.
This dissemination and verification initiative will focus on practically verifying the performance of wastewater treatment systems that meet strict water quality standards. Through this, we aim to promote improving the water environment through wastewater treatment system technology and create a business model by expanding the sales channels for wastewater treatment systems. By creating new business models, we hope to contribute to achieving the SDGs and the sustainable development of local communities. FujiClean will continue to promote our business to solve social and global environmental issues and contribute to continuous growth and development.
